Spellbreak release .26 “Homecoming” is live!
Spellbreak release 26 “Homecoming” is live! Villages have been added to Westmar and Fort Halcyon, epic “Mender” items make their debut as a suite based on sustain and healing, players can now set their title to Alpha Tester and Pre-Alpha Tester (with more on the way!), the final circle now appears in more places in the world to make end battle locations more variable, and various movement system refinements have been made for smoother and more responsive control. Plus, improved grass and in-world item displays (who doesn’t love that?)!. Lots of things to test…let’s get to it!
Play test today + a chance to win The Hollow skin!
Join us on Thursday June 13, from 8-10 PM EDT (0-2 UTC) for this week’s community play test! Thousands of players will be online testing the game together PLUS our Audience Development Lead, Gordon, will be in the official Discord voice chat answering your questions and playing matches with you! Join in the fun and help us test what’s new. There will also be an opportunity to win an extremely rare The Hollow skin! Details will be given at the start of the play test in the Discord server.
Villages! Go look around Westmar and Fort Halcyon to see the newest structures we’ve added to the environment! Villages have smaller buildings to fight in, around, and on top of and provide new obstacles to consider, strategize around, and traverse.
This patch features a new suite of epic rarity “Mender” items that are focused on healing and sustaining the player:
Amulet of the Mender: Drain Armor: 20%, Max Mana: +60
Belt of the Mender: Armor Recovery Rate: +50%, Health Recovery Rate: +50%, Max Armor: +65
Boots of the Mender: On Crouch (1s): 4 Health / 2 Seconds, Run Speed: +5
Better Item Displays
Check out the revamped in-world item display! Changes include more information and more easily readable icons.
Players can now set their title.
Currentlythere are only two titles: Alpha Tester and Pre-Alpha Tester. There are (many) more to come in the future, though!
Final Circle Variability
The final circle can now appear in more places in the world, making the location of the endgame less predictable. Prepare yourself for edge-of-the-map finales!
We’re continuing to iterate on movement and have made a number of changes that should make it feel more responsive, smoother, and give you a better sense of control. There are a good number of changes here, so make sure you check out the full patch notes.
We made the grass prettier. Seriously…look at it! So lovely. :)
As always, you can find the full list of improvements, enhancements, and bug fixes in the .26 official release notes on the Spellbreak subreddit. You can also read up on the latest “Prologue” narrative lore series as well!
See you in the Hollow Lands, Breakers!
