Final Fantasy VII Remake Surprise Trailer from Sony’s State of Play
In a surprise move, Sony showed an update for Final Fantasy VII Remake in their new video series, ‘State of Play’. Sony’s Sid Shuman took the PlayStation Blog on Monday, with the following to say:
Hi all! Excited to share that State of Play will return for a new episode next Thursday, May 9 at 3:00 pm Pacific Time. It’ll be a quick show (around 10 minutes), but we’ve got some PS4 updates we couldn’t wait to share with you.
PlayStation Worldwide Studios will be showing off an extended look at MediEvil, as well as the first look at a new title. And we’ll have other updates and announcements from upcoming PS4 games.Sid Shuman, PlayStation.Blog
This seemed it will be a run of the mill video, basically getting us hyped up for E3 this year (even tho Sony will not be in attendance), showing off smaller titles to make way for the bigger announcements early next month.
Even to go as far as to say they will also not be talking about next-gen hardware or software.
So we are going through the SoP, starting with a Monster Hunter World trailer for the latest expansion, and looks amazing. We see some indie games, a brand new game from Sony Worldwide Studios, called Predator: Hunting Grounds, and then it all of a sudden ends with Final Fantasy VII Remake. You can take a look at the trailers below straight from the official Final Fantasy and Square Enix channel!
I for one think the character models look wonderful and imensely detailed. They still hold the same feel as they have had all these years. The new action style is definitely new for the series but cannot wait to hear more about it in a month!
What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments!
